Tiny-Fu progress?

I was wondering if anyone knew where I could find out more about the
progress of Gimp being switched from Script fu to tiny-fu

I know there is currently a p;lug-in for it,  but i seem to remember
reading that ,they were going to switch Gimp from script-fu to Tiny-fu
as a default.
I was wondering if anyone could confirm or deny this?   I have idea's
for some scripts, but I've been putting off learning because I don't
want to have to bust my nutz learning a scripting language, then have
to forget it, and learn a new one all over again in a few months...

so

is what I heard true?
and if so how far off are we talking for the change-over?
