Cant move signature

rich2005
Hi,

I want to digitalize my signature. But when I insert it I can ont mov it. Here
is what I do:

can it, black on white paper.

add alpha channel

Magic stick tool, take it.

remove background

save as xcf.

Insert as layer.

Now, I con only move the document I insert it to, not the signature. What to do?

What to do better?

Thanks!

By default the Move tool auto-selects the top most layer with an opaque
pixel where you click. So either:

* Be careful to click on some opaque part of your signature

* Depress the Shift-Key to force the Move tool to move the active layer
instead.
